Hi all, I am a current Breeze 4K owner, and really like the drone, but it has its limitations, and was thinking of upgrading to the Q500 4K. Is this a recommended purchase and are there any issues or challenges that I might need to know about before making a decision. Thanks for the help.

It always comes down to what's right for you, but yeah, the Q500 4K is a great drone. It has usable flight time, enough range for most folks, still has good parts availability, and it has a pretty good track record for reliability. It's biggest downside is portability. It's size/shape and lack of easy breakdown make it tough for travel or backpacking.

I use one. Agree with WTF. Great machine. Flys well, but bulky. I like the ST10 controller with built in screen. Great pics and video. The CGO3 camera is relatively forward and unprotected in crash.

I also agree that the 4K is a great bird. It is easy to fly and has great video from the CG3 camera. It is bulky, but as stable a platform as I have found. It includes most of the features of the more advanced H except for obstacle avoidance, or curve cable cam. The 3 access gimbal gives it smooth video even if the winds start to rock the quad. If you don't mind that it is bulky I highly recommend it. I fly mine as often as possible.

True about cgo3 unprotected. Three times I have had the three wires that connect the camera to the drone come off. It was my fault but if you so much as drag it slowly on the ground it can cause this annoying event. I really love this drone because it responds the way you read and watched tutorials about. I am driving to k c and pick the brains of the repair folks about the wires and a problem with the SD card popping out. I do highly recommend this drone because it's completely reliable.

Talk to them about removing the three wires altogether and using the pigtail instead. I don't like the damage that often comes with the wires getting pulled loose. To me, the slight inconvenience of the pigtail is far less concern than the gimbal board damage and mainboard damage that I have dealt with because of the three wires. It only takes a few minutes to unsolder the things on both ends, and you have a much safer arrangement.
