Questions on Gimbel settings

I still have questions on the 2 toggles for the gimble pan. Where do I want the switches set when in follow me watch me mode? I have been using the wizard with an st16 for vid. Trying to have it follow me around on my dirt bike. Sometimes it seems to work pretty good but I wish I had a better knowledge of what the switches actually did and how to use them. Thanks in advance
