Quick Gimbal Question

Does the knob that is used to rotate the camera gimbal have a detent at the forward facing position?

Just curious how to know which way the bird is facing when it is just a spec (or smaller) in the sky.

Mine should be arriving at my local hobby shop tomorrow (Wed)

Every time i use the pan dial I wish they made it rotate 360 degrees and for it to align precisely with the gimbal so that if you have it pointing to 90 degrees the gimbal is point 90 degrees etc.

Thats one for my wish list.

I think it is more a direction and speed control rather than a position control.

Yes it is but it would be nice for position control as you would get the perfect pan with full control of the speed and position throughout.
