Anyone know the true range of the Q500? I see lots of conflicting articles

I have been in open area, about 300' Elevation and 500' Distance Out. It would still fly, but I would loose my video feed. I have not tried it much further.

Everything on my Q is stock and I have been out 2,760ft and still had video...modifications take them a whole lot further

in stock form and set to factory setting it is 400' up 300' out

Without mods, your probably looking at about 600-700 feet on your video feed.
With the added extended range antenna I get out about a mile and a half and that's far enough for me.
At that distance, control gets "Iffy and intermittent" but still flyable.

At a mile and a half that pretty much takes the LOS out of the equation

That's for sure.
Kinda like your getting out to 2760 feet with no mods.
Kinda hard to see from that distance huh ?

Google... Yuneec Q500 mods and have a look on You Tube too.
Search the threads here too and you'll find plenty of info.

I got out to 827 feet before I lost the video. Even at that range, I could see it, but my wife had trouble until I showed it to her. As far as I am concerned, that is far enough for me.

I've been out to over 1500ft at 200ft altitude with no loss in signal or video feed.

My property = 300ft

Neighbors = 500 ft

From shore to salmon traps = 900ft

With my mods, I have gone out 5000' in distance and 1200' in altitude while climbing beside a mountain/hill. I also crashed one on the mountain/hill and it remains there to this day.
That was far enough for me.
