Mine antennas are matched to the frequency. Lazy for me is to open the box, but inside they have tube capacitors instead of ground wires. Longer is not always better when we're talking about antennas. ;)

The active part of the aerial is 14 cm.

I have longer in my shack. They will be used on the copter.16151073692461755787417.jpg

Centimeters, as I said. Inches are divided by 12, centimeters by 10.

One inch is equal to 25.4 millimeters. So, the last picture shows around 7 and 1/2 inches.

Thanx I'm stateside, and new it wasn't inches thats why I had to ask

Yep! The US is the only place in the world that still clings to a non-decimal system. Too many road signs would need to be replaced and the weather forecasters would be confused.

Yep, but heres something funny over here in Mass. they changed the exit signs because of the numbering ???

Thought the UK used the decimal system and dumped the Imperial Measurement system ages ago.

Conversions ,calculations anticipations ,never really bothered me that much. Just don't make me ever drive on the wrong side of the road. I even get nervous watching all those U.K shows on pbs.

More than the mod for the antennas of the transceiver, which in any case already guarantees a good range of use, I thought it more useful to make a change to the receiving wifi antenna for the video feed, which in my case did not reach 100~120 meters.
I eliminated the internal antenna and with a cable equipped with a screw connector I installed a mushroom antenna specific for the frequency of 5.8 Ghz, with identical polarization of the one on the camera.
The result is really encouraging, exceeded 250 meters without having any screen freeze, and it is also solved the problem that the movies were interrupted and broken into several files.
In the picture there is the modification with links to the parts I purchased, which as you can see are very cheap.
My ST10+ is used with a Chrome drone.
