has anyone tried to charge the st16 battery using a lipo charger ?

if so what settings did you use to charge it .

the battery label says its a Lith-ion battery
but on the same label it says to use
a lipo charger .

wanting to charge at 1c on the battery but want to make sure im using correct battery settings .

Many posts about it on here, just hard I know to find them, this Forum needs a better look up process, or if it has one, where's the manual instruction !

looked all over forum . i can find threads regarding charging the typhoon h battery but not the ST-16 battery ...

sorry if im overlooking it .... anyone got any ideas ?

well its kinda strange . if i charge the battery till full in the st16 using its supplied charging method .
then i check voltage on battery it shows it charged to :
4.165 volts .

however if i use my Polaron EX charger to charge the
battery as a LIio battery it stops at : 4.1v or 4.098

so not sure if we are dealing with a LIio or LIPo . voltages
do not match .

is my charger not charging correctly ?
i thought LIio was 4.1v fully charged
and LIPO was 4.2

are they over charging the battery in the controller ?

I ran across this with my ST16 battery as well.

Searching the web for the differences between LiIo and LiPo batteries, all I could find was that LiIo batteries tend to come in a hard case (phone, laptop batteries) while LiPo batteries are usually just wrapped in some type of polymer bag. They're basically the same battery chemically.

So as far as I can tell, as long as you don't go over 4.2v, you should be good. Not sure about the 4.1v vs 4.2v. Can't say it would make a lot of difference either way. I changed my charger to stop at 4.2v for LiIo.
