Still no new firmware for the Yuneec Typhoon H and ST16 in 2017

I don't understand this. I have trees all around, many much higher than 50', and my signals "stick" just fine with the craft below 400', out to 3500' feet or so (only while testing). Could you expand on your statement please?

With stock antennas I never get out past 1700' at 400' with my Typhoon H. Video immediately starts to diminish and digitize out... Then the telemetry starts to drop. However, I did the firmware swap and went up to 800' and the drone flew out to 2500' without a hick up. When I mean thick trees... I'm talking a dense forest. As in.... a state park type forest that hasn't been touched and is protected. This is where I was trying to get the good shots of the parks waterfall. Only... it was apprx. 2000' away. I used the Peau 8x zoom lens on the CGO3+ coupled with the firmware swap to get me there and poof. Good pics acheived.
