Or you use Exmaps.com (upload telemetry files).

Thanks, this is really a great tool! I have both Q500 and H. I am probably past my 1st 20 flights on the Q, but i will back up or archive from here on out.
Every second consumer OS from MS is a desaster Win95 - Win ME - Win Vista - Win 8. All crap. I fear what comes after Win 10, if there will be one. Use Win 7 or Win 10 (switch off Cortana in this case). I tested q500log2kml with Win XP, Win 7 and Win 10 - all works.
Many other user work with it and are fine.
H-Elsner, does your domain no longer exist? I've tried several routes to find q500log2kml_en...all lead to a "Domain Name Sales" website trying to sell me a new domain. Have you moved elsewhere? Please update your link, this appears to be a key tool for using Dashware with Q500's.
Now a version V2.8 is out. What's new?
- f_mode 32 (IPS) added
- screenshot of the whole application window possible
- output format for RaceRender added (experimental, without profile)
- you can select between absolute and relative altitude in KML export (both have advantages and disadvantages)
- new feature 'Quick analysis' shows 3 selectable histograms at the same time for better analysis
- you can cut a (important) part from the FlightLog into a new FlightLog for deeper analysis.
Is there an app or any other way to convert telemetry files to KMZ files either on the st16 itself or on a smartphone?
If for example, one were to lose their H - be it by fly away or for whatever reason - in order to locateit one would best use your excellent software for converting to KMZ and viewing its last recorded flight path and where it ended.
However, one has not always got a computer or laptop with them in the field, therefore it woud be good to know how to be able to find the H there and then rather than say going home to convert the files then back out to look for the bird.
Now we are already at version V4.2 What's new?
2019-01-09 V4.1 PX Sensor data export to CSV file. Some more MAV messages decoded.
2019-01-15 Self-defined CSV format changed - more flexible. RF channels added.
Show self-defined PX4 Sensor CSV format. Some important H520 MAV messages added.
2019-01-26 Optimization auto size columns.
2019-02-28 Time since system boot instead of default time format as context hint at telemetry for H Plus.
2019-03-05 Keep default behaviour in selected cells of a table.
2019-03-27 Time label at cursor in additional chart.
2019-04-07 Colors in Elevation chart for PX4 logs.
2019-04-16 MAV Message PARAM_VALUE added.
2019-06-04 Telemetry to CCC waypoints conversion updated for yaw.
2019-09-04 V4.2 Option LiPo remaining capacity added.
Version V4.3 was released yesterday:
2019-11-12 Scan for 'EMERGENCY' in PX4 sensor files
2019-12-10 Update für ST24/H920 alte Firmware (Telemetry ohne Header)
2019-12-31 Setting for Thunderbird (H480 with PX4 firmware)
2020-01-30 Throttle in % added to CSV Header and cell info.
2020-02-28 V4.3 Tom's Hubsan Log Recorder added.
MAVlink messages selectable for data reduction in PX4 CSV format.
Remaining battery capacity now according RC Groups table for voltage vs. capacity.
2020-03-09 Additional placemarks in KML. Colors for Hubsan frames updated.
2020-03-11 Visualize gaps in telemetry by double click to additional chart.
Hello there H-Elsner
So I had a problem last night and didn't get the Mantis Q back until the battery died. So now its off somewhere around my neighborhood a block or two away. I read a lot of the forums and your "Telemetry" thread helped quite a bit...and thank you for posting that info. So I got all the way toward the end but I need some help with finding out the last flight log info and how I can look up the correct location on Google Earth. I would really appreciate it if you were able to take a look at it when you have a few and try to find me an answer or any suggestions. I included everything on the attachment.
If you don't have the time, I do understand.
Thank you for any help you can give and have a great weekend.
For the Android user: Open your File/Storage manager. Navigate to: /storage/sdcard0/YuneecPilot/FlightLog. Select all files, then select Compress and create a name that includes the date. For iOS users: Open iTunes on the PC. Attach iPhone/iPad. Open File Sharing. Select Yuneec Pilot...
yuneecpilots.com
The file names are somthing like "yuneec_2019_05_21_21_33_0.log" or "Sensor_2018_11_22_18_44_08". it depends on firmware version and what device you have used ios or android.
If you found those files copy it to a new directory on you PC. Then select this directory as FlightLog directory in Q500log2kml. Make sure that in Settings > Data conversion the checkbox Flight path from PX4 sensor is checked. On the left side all flight number are listed. Usually it the last number (contains date/time) that is in question. If you select this numer automatically a KML file for this flight will be generated in the same directory as the telemetry files are. Click on the KML-file to see you flight path in GoogleEarth.
In AppLog at the very end you also get GoogleMaps link for start and last coordinate. This is the poit where can start to search your drone.
In case of any further questions don't hesitate to ask.

PS: It would be good to create an new thread for a new incident in order to make it easier for others with similat problems to find and understand what happened.

Hi,
Sorry about the thread and really appreciate the help! I have not done this before and am very concerned about the amount of time that has already gone by with for the drone.
When I open the files on my Android phone does it matter what app I use to compress them or what type of file I save it as? The phone is defaulting to RAR (.rar) file. I have never done this or simalar before.
Thanks again I'm looking at the thread and trying this now.
Mike
RAR file is OK for me. It the forum software will not accept RAR file as attachment rename it to ZIP.
When you wand to analyze the files by yourself, you have to un-rar / un-zip the files on your PC.
Trying to get the PDF for the latest version 4.3 but only get a single page from your most recent link. Cool program by the way, use it all the time for my Chroma Blade purchased in 2015.
your link here: http://h-elsner.mooo.com/pdf/Q500log2kml_en.pdf
only gives me the attached and the zip file PDF is lacking also. I do have version 3.7 of the PDF though. Please keep up the good work.
This is from the version just previous to 4.3. He published v4.3 just recently after updating some data points for the H920. Not sure what happened to the Manual. I’m sure he will fix it soon.
