The astonishing work of the gimbal

Thanks for sharing!

The gimbal does amazing things for video. Just use a stills camera that also shoots video and you’ll quickly understand how jerky things can get just hand holding a camera.

I doubt many realize just what a marvel in gimbal technology Yuneec’s gimbal really is. Most gimbals that can perform as well are much larger, heavier, start out in the $3,000.00- $5,000.00 price range, and periodically need to be rebalanced. When the CGO3 was first released, which goes back to the Q-500, there were no multirotor gimbals that provided this level of performance. Only recently has anything in the CGO-3 price class managed to come close to matching its stability, especially where damping effects of yaw is concerned. They have come close but still don’t quite match how well the CGO-3 gimbal functions.

...and dang few drones in this price range have 360 degrees of freedom for the camera and retracting landing gear.

Exactly why I shared the vid.

Indeed, when choosing my drone I came down to either a Mavic Pro or a Typhoon H. The Mavic is small, portable and doesn't attract much attention, The H is big, impressive, full of cool features and everyone stops to look at it. Stealth or Bling???? ****, gimmie the bling!

Small and portable has its place. If Autel Robotics ever get their EVO into production I'll be seriously looking at adding that to my fleet. :) DJI does some good things but the Mavic Pro seems overpriced to me.

Just had a 1st look at the EVO. Very nice. I wish we could get a similar battery duration on the TH.
Sadly no way I will be able to buy one anytime soon and still remain married.

I hear ya. ;) My wife thinks that 2 TH480 is one too many right now. The EVO would put her over the edge. I'm thinking later in the year when it could be my birthday present :)
