Trouble connecting controller

Connected my phone (A5 2017) to the controller. Steady blue light was on and the controller vibrated. When I opened the app, I was able to get feed but was getting a message saying unable to connect controller. Any clues as to why? I've connected other times with no issues.
 
Make sure you have the controller in the proper mode for the device you have Breeze Cam running on (Android or iOS).
 
Try connecting to the Breeze, open Breeze Cam, then power on the controller. Go to Controller mode, slide to proceed, and if the controller doesn’t connect and vibrate, try pressing the button on the lower right that looks like the controller.

If you still have trouble, go to the Android Settings and have it forget the GameSir controller. Then try the procedure in the first paragraph again.
