Does the typhoon h plus still get OTA software updates?

No. The servers have been shut down for a few years now. If you need to update the firmware you must do so as a manual install. That isn't all bad. The OTA sometimes had glitches that didn't complete the install.

Is it one sd card into the camera for that update and one into the ground station also to update the controller?

I just finished doing this update to one of mine. Your best bet, is to follow the guide some members put together on here. It will link you to the downloads, and show you how to do it.
Just look for SD card update
