Yes, it's doable. Finding a replacement motor could be a challenge.
Motor has wire leads attached, fishing them thru the arm can also be challenging.

If you get the parts, no big deal. Some actions (like disconnecting motor wires from esc) can be a little pain but still nothing nearly anyone could do. A set of small screwdrivers, the LED cover removing tool (possible to do it without, but even more pain ?) and a motor and you're ready to go.
Changed 2 motors and 3 arms on a friend's H+ - besides some other parts.
It's less a technical challenge than a challenge to stay calm.

It landed on it's side and took pieces off the motor. It seems a little rough when turning it by hand.
The motors for the H Plus and the H520 are identical. You might have better luck finding one labeled for the 520.
What is the problem with the landing gear?

Confirmed! They do worldwide shipping! But for an order of this volume, I would first check all resources in the US before ordering!

Ouch. $20 higher.
Yep, after that purchase l looked into other vendors, and it seems B&H is like &10 cheaper on most, but theres a few (very) that vertigo is a little cheaper ? I'm sure they all know what everybody charges, so they play the pricing game ?
