Firmware Update - Typhoon H fly off crash

Unfortunately I had just gotten it back, it was a three week turnaround - and well, it works some of the times - I'm thinking the trend now is... when the battery is on it's second warning - Continued testing shows that will fly correct and land normal (I have yet to do all the recalibrations) - It sure is fun to fly when it flies right though... :)

What you're describing doesn't sound to be anything to do with memory issues, but the same problem that a few people on here have reported with some of the 1.3x autopilot firmware - that landings are a bit rough, with a tendancy to hop. There seem to be consistent reports that the very latest autopilot version, 1.35 does a lot to correct this.

Perhaps people don't realise that between firmware updates, Yuneec get a constant stream of feedback from people (including their own trained pilots) saying landings are too slow or too rough, or that control is too jumpy or sluggish . They tweak parameters with each update to try and please everyone. The improvements over the very first release are noticeable - the machine is more responsive, and the camera more consistent and so on. However, sometimes, a tweak may go too far the other way, or play badly with particular machines.

If you install a new version of the firmware, you should expect the machine to fly differently and take things carefully for the first few flights until you've got a feel for how controls and response have changed. There are now a number of different configurations of Typhoon H, with different revisions of hardware, so you can't make any assumptions about how it will fly until you've tried it.

If you find a version of the firmware that works well for you, there's no reason not to stick with it. If you do want to upgrade, wait until a few people have had a go and given some feedback, so you know what to expect. There's nothing wrong with skipping a few versions to get to a 'good' release, and once you're there, get your machine calibrated and adjusted to your liking. It's far easier to diagnose problems if you adjust one thing at a time, and give yourself time between changes to work out the effects of what you've altered.
