Well, I came into this thread late, and didn’t see the video. The digest sent me to the last post. But I had seen another thread/post describing the same thing, whereas I tried from too high. Mistook the the “ for a ‘ and tried it from 6 feet high. Dumb mistake.
Had my H up yesterday taking some pictures. Was about 12' off the ground, and hit the wrong button. As most know the ST16 Red Kill is almost in the same spot as the ST10 Still Capture. Dropped about 6 feet before I realized my mistake. Whew, that was close!
TyPilot has a good suggestion for recovering UAV’s from water. A bobber thing that attaches to the landing gear, and if it hits water,releases the bomber on a fish line. And wa-la, find the bobber, pull up the UAV.
I appreciate PatR mentioning to point the nose of the H North. I remember the Q manual said to do that, but the H Quick Manual does not say to point it North. Maybe that’s why I had to do it a second time back to back.
