Fairly new Q500 4k with latest firmware. Power up drone on flat surface and altimeter reads 0. Fly around a bit and land on the same spot and the alt reads 5-30 ft. Is this normal? Any way to calibrate?
That is for compass and accelerometer calibration (have performed these already).
Does anyone know how altitude is measured on these? Does it use the accelerometer to measure altitude? Most drones I'm familiar with have barametric sensor onboard to measure altitude change. Trying to figure out if something on mine is defective or if this is typical behavior.
