Hi guys,
I have done the typhoon h charger modification so that I can balance and store aswell as charge my battery via a smart charger. I've found several vids on YouTube on this and have followed them to the letter. All leads have good continuity via a multimeter my problem is I can't charge or balance or even store the battery only discharge it. Just wondering is this down to a bad battery. As a further note when trying to balance nothing comes up on the cells at all it's like I don't have the balance lead connected at all. The smart charger I have is a GFC energy touch with a charge max power of 90w

I couldn't locate much information about that charger. However, it appears to charge a max of 3-cell batteries. The H uses a 4 cell battery. So that charger won't work.

I still am unable to find info on that charger. Perhaps you could post some pics of the readings and the setup you are using including the cable arrangement.

Lots of possibilities here. Hard to speculate without more information:
1.) If the battery is new, what was it's manufacture date?
2.) If the battery is not new;
a) How old is it?
b) How was it stored?
3.) Have you verified IR readings on each battery cell?
4.) Have you verified voltage on each battery cell?
5.) Did the battery charge on the standard charger before modification?
6.) Have you tried a different charger on the battery?
7.) Have you tried a different battery on the modified charger?
8.) Are you certain you are correctly following the users manual that came with the charger?
9.) Exactly which video did you follow?
10.) Can you provide both pictures and a diagram of what you actually assembled?

Thank you so much with your input.
Some of your questions I can answer straight away, the typhoon I bought 2nd hand, it came with 3 batteries but two are puffy so I have to dispose of them, the battery is 3 yrs old with 40 flights behind it the telemetry verified this to the Best of my knowledge. The battery will charge on the charger no problem. Without the modification.
Might sound a dumb few questions here but what is meant by IR reading also how do I read what each cell is at is that by using a multimeter and checking via the balance pins on the battery? Iam positive I followed the instructions correctly here is the link to the video I found best

At the moment my battery isn't fully charged and reading 15.70v, from the 1st balance pin on the battery its reading 3.92, 2nd pin 7.85 and 3rd pin 11.77.

Great pictures. It will take a while to study, and I have another issue right now. But I notice the video you posted was for modifying an HPlus charger, which I think is different from the Typhoon H. Is your charger/drone/battery Typhoon H or H Plus?

It a Typhoon H
