Best Video making software

Hi I'm new to all this video capture stuff and was wondering peoples ideas on the best movie making software to use. If posting to social media sites, is UHD necessary or not?

I use MagixMovieEdit Pro and between the tutorials included and helpful YouTube videos it was fairly easy to learn how to use.

I like iMovie and Garage band.

I use Adobe Premiere Pro. If you don't want to spend a lot of money then I recommend Adobe Premiere Elements 14.

I use Black Magic DaVinci Resolve or PowerDirecter. Just depends on what you like. Like Aeroflite said all of the software out there have how to videos on YouTube.

Good question, the answer is Yes!

I was completely happy with the quality I was getting at my laptops HD1080 res., but I needed a newer, faster laptop for editing the UHD video files i was getting off my Q. So I got one with 16gb ram, i7 proc., 1TB drive, it also has a UHD 3840 x 2160p screen ( something a little more up to date). And I was blown away when i saw the same videos on the new computer! If you havent seen your 4k vids on a true UHD screen, you are missing the big picture ( pardon the pun). So yes UHD matters
