Are you referring to using team mode with two ST16S controllers, so one controls the aircraft and the other the camera?

If the 2nd radiocommand became that of piloting

When using two ST16S controllers in team mode the master keeps control of the aircraft and maintains both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz links to the aircraft. The Slave controller sends camera commands to the master for relay to the airborne system.

Carefully read the post linked in my first reply. That post contains a link to another post by @JackMTaco where a video tutorial accompanies the post.

is it possible that the slave becomes master and vice versa

The master should be the one the aircraft and camera is bound to when in single (not team) mode for control.

Yes you can. If one of your ST16S controllers has failed. You only have to bind the aircraft and C23 to the controller that does work.
