Chrome Cast and ST-16

I see there is a setting in the PAD Mode settings to cast the screen.
No matter what I try it will not connect to my chromecast. It does see the Chromecast Module hooked to my TV.
Anyone else play with the settings and get it to work?
I have given thought to Rooting the ST-16 just so I can load a few Apps like chromecast.

I'm not real sure, but I think you have to connect to WiFi from your router. Go to Settings/WiFi and see if your router is listed. Then if it is there, tap on it and select connect. I don't have Chromecast in my ST16 and can't make the browser work so I can download it.

That is not how chromecast works. Chromecast makes it's own wifi, and you connect to that. But then you need another app to actually send to the cast module.
Think I am going to have to root my ST-16 to make it work.

That's the way mine works, receives Wi-Fi.
