Has anyone ever lost connection from st16 controller to drone while flying either accidentally or with battery failure? If so drone land itself in emergency mode?

I have check the manual and can't see any specific answer. Reason for asking as this is something your asked to do in CAA ground test.

Mine lost all connection while flying then flew somewhere else and finaly flew back from a total different direction. Then proceeded to land

I wasn't asked to do that during my test. They ask what it will do but do not ask for it to be demonstrated. Return to home is tested but not transmitter loss.

Loss of the transmitter, or lost link, is described in the ops manual. I have accidentally caused this to occur by entering "Pad" mode while in flight. The H should climb to the established RTH height if below that height, or remain at the higher altitude if above the RTH height. It will then fly back to the last known position of the transmitter, give or take a little, hover, and wait. If it does not again see a transmitter signal it will lower the gear and land at the low battery warning.
