I received an email from the FAA regarding flying (or, really, not flying) in a disaster area (to prevent interference with rescue efforts). I'm in North Carolina, but not near the coast.
If the governor declares a state of emergency or declares our state a disaster area, does that mean no recreational flying until rescue and recovery efforts have ended across the state?
I think I know the answer, but I thought I should check with more experienced pilots.[emoji6]
