I needed to do it right after I received my H in April. I had crosstalk between channels where I would yaw and the craft moved. I needed to clean it 3-4 times to fix it, but haven't had to do it since. The theory is that it was probably stored in a moist warehouse where corrosion formed on the stick gimbal surfaces.No.
If I got it right, I need to do this how often?
And the sticks are responsive.
BTW, I have had my H for about 2 years and flewn 40-50hrs, w/o any need the clean the the sticks.No.

**** right about that.Even though these systems are relatively cheap, they are very complex and rely on lots of 'moving' parts so to speak; both actual and electronic, to work flawlessly. And it is in fact; that the parts inside these systems are sourced to be as inexpensive as possible to keep the final price low that they tend to need a little more attention. I have a regular Typhoon H with hundreds of flights that never needed anything, yet the Plus did.

I have drift issues from time to time. A total calibration has always fixed my issues. What AeroJ meant to include is: “using hardware monitor, do the sticks consistently return to zero?”
If not, a sure sign they need cleaning.
Check the how-to threads, search, et al on cleaning.
Good luck.
