Hello all, My drone background is mainly in Pixhawk and a DJI Mini2 that I use just to tinker with. I recently bought an H520E that came with a E30Z that I obviously can’t use so I’m looking to get it evaluated and most likely sell or trade it for something that will work with my H520E.

I’m looking for someone local to western Washington that I could meet with that has a H520 that I could test my E30Z on for basic functionality.
In addition I’m looking for a trustworthy source I could send it to for evaluation and update as needed. FYI I was able to briefly mount it to an H480 at which it did come to attention when powered up.

Has anyone ever tried and had any success with other 5.8 video receivers or monitors with built in 5.8 receivers with multiple channels? I realize this may seem odd to some but I’ve built a number of drones using a number of different 5.8 transmitter and receivers and it’s just a matter of matching the channels to sync the images up.

To summarize I need someone I can send my E30Z to for evaluation and possible updating as necessary.
In addition I also have a CGOET that has a good image but gimbal spins continuously.

Thanks all, Matt

The spin on the CGOet may be a calibration issue.
There are two physically identical versions of the CGOET. One works on Typhoon H, the other on H520. @h-elsner has developed calibration GUIs that can either calibrate or identify issues for both versions. You will need to assemble a calibration/test stand and become at least basically familiar with the GUIs. The GUIs and the needed documentation are available for download on a webpage provided by @h-elsner.

If you are interested in calibrating the camera, additional information can be provided.

Thank you very much for all of the information, it looks fairly straightforward.
In the meantime I stumbled across another post with an interesting approach to my gimbal issue, it was suggested that replacing the gimbal board with a new one from a CGO3+ could be a viable alternative given that the gimbals are essentially the same. What say you?

Which version of the CGOET do you have?
The CGo3+ gimbal board will work (after calibration) for a Typhoon H CGOET, but will not work for an H520 CGOET.
Either way, you will still need to calibrate. Each board is calibrated to the motors and IMU of the specific camera. You can't just pull a board out of one gimbal and mount it in another.
