Fall from sky? What happened!?!

I think mine is about $9.00 a month and that covers theft and. Fly away and crashes even acessories on both my typhoon h pro and my tornado 920 + all for $9.00 a month.

****...I thought it was a lot more. I'm looking into it this week for sure! Thanks for the info!

I think it's called a personal property policy .if you have state farm they just add payment to your other policy

My state farm had never written a policy for it but the bright young girl that worked there said I saw info on. Drones but ill have to research it in 1 hr she called me and it was done. For my h then when I bought my 920 I just emailed her the info and in less than a 1hr it was covered and had only increased my coverage by $3.00 .now they have lots of drones covered here

D'oh. Yeah, well even if I typed it correctly, it's still an odd name. Parrot has a great app with a way point feature that's called Flight Plan. That name makes perfect sense.

A little research into cinematic methods will lead you to “cable cams” which as a rule are linear between two points.

Yuneec calls their approach Curve Cable Cam or CCC for short, because it programs the craft to fly a ‘curved’ path between the waypoints while the pilot controls the camera. So Yuneec’s naming convention is only odd if you approach it strictly as a pilot, instead of the melding of pilot and cinematographer.

For those discussing "Drone" coverage with State Farm, you may want to differentiate whether or not you fly as a hobbyist or if you are a 107 commercial operator. I am pretty sure they will not cover anyone performing commercial operations, unless that is the policy written at which point the cost would be considerably higher.

It is just lost damage and theft. I know I read on here that some use mobile app when they fly commercial

In case some were not aware I was just making the distinction between hobby and commercial. Flying under a 107 you are operating what the Fed's say is an aircraft; and no home owner policy covers aircraft. There are companies that do offer coverage to commercial UAV operators but one can expect to pay upwards of 750.00 to 1,000.00 or more per year per aircraft covered, amount of policy and so fourth. There is a company that provides commercial coverage on single flight term basis and they are called Verifly.

Yeah, I get it. Still think the term is dopey. But it's just my opinion.

It would take about 2 years to equal yuneecs yes program unless I’m mistaken I thought it was 200.00.

Dang, sorry to hear of your accident, hope Yuneec replaces it if they find out what happened. As for the Plus I am having no issues thus far other than some of the flight modes like CCC are not working as they should but the C23 is rock solid so far.

They may not provide the same flight paths. CCC will "curve" the routes between points rather that just fly a straight line from one point to the next. It generally makes for smoother looking video.

@Darien: The telemetry file ends suddenly without no reason seen in it. It looks like battery was lost. At the end it had still 91%. So, that's still mysterious.

To have a better picture, please send Remote_00056.csv and the related Sensor_xxxxx.txt too. The Numbering of the Sensor files do not match the numbers of the other Flight2Log files. Look at the time stamps of the files instead. It should be as near to the 00056 files as possible.

Sensor files contains text messages (among a lot other binary) from the copter. Maybe there is something in that helps.

Hmmmm. It appears to be raining Typhoon H's lately. lol. I had a similar situation just the other day. Refurbished H standard flew great the first day and I liked the look of the camera as opposed to my H Pro although they are both the same. Second day out flew 3 batteries and it was fine. Brought it back to hover about 20 feet away 40 feet altitude and it made a loud "zippppp" sound, shut down completely and I watched it free fall and crash to the pavement. Landed upside down and the camera was on the other side of the runway. Totaled it! Yuneec was great and issued an RA. Picked this one up to eventually mount a c23 when the price comes down but a few of the people I know have had nothing but problems with the H Plus and especially the camera. What I would like to see in the future, if another H+ or any H free fall, take pictures of the crash, rather than bringing all the pieces to one spot.
I'm curious, did you remove the battery or did dislodge after the crash?
Did you upload the telemetry for us to analyze?

The only piece I brought in was the camera which was on the other side of the runway. Everything else is right where it landed! The drone landed upside down (on the electronics) and the battery dislodged on impact. It comeplety lost power and was a slow tumble from about 40 feet. If you read the initial post I already shared that info...
I have downloaded the telemetry, viewed it and emailed it to Yuneec. Already received and RA.

I purposely asked the question the way I did,
My surprise is the battery being dislodged upon impact, but it's the battery location that is odd.
