Sorry if this is in the wrong place, just got FPV headset that are not made for the yuneec Q500 in fact there is no maker's name but it says AV 40 channel and on the buttons it says channel, band, and search will these work with the Q500? Thanks for any help

Without more information, it would be difficult to speculate.

However:
1.) Turn on the drone and camera.
2.) Turn on the headset.
3.) Go through the channels one at a time.

If one of them works, then the answer is "Yes".
If none work, it is probably not compatible.

If you install a wifi analyzer app on your phone you can see the channel being used by the camera:

That is very unlikely. Those 40 channel receivers are usually analog while the CGO3 uses a digital signal. Even in case you have a digital system it is very unlikely to work since the protocol will not be the same.

If you want to fly the Q500 in FPV, the easiest way is to buy one of those goggles where you can put your phone inside and then connect your phone via the CGO App to the camera. Make sure that you get one which is not meant to be used in 3D mode.

Extreme caution may be advised... When I used the CGO app in conjunction with Yuneec's SteadyGrip, the degree of lag between real time events and what you see on the screen can be as much as a 2 second delay.

Disconcerting enough when carrying as a handheld device. Quite a variation on results depending on which version and OS of the app used.
