I've been looking through the threads and haven't found a definitive answer. I'm looking at a Tornado H920 for sale. It has the snap on props no screws required and the ST 16 controller, but the model name on the controller main screen says Model:H920 not H920 Plus like it shows in the manual for the Plus I found online. Any advice? Thanks!

Welcome to the colossal mess Yuneec created by not properly labeling the differences.
Having several times thought I could correctly identify the version, my advice is simply that you can't. At least not with any certainty.
You can change the name in the upper left corner to anything you want. But the controller is not bound, which means there is nothing at all to determine if it will actually work with that drone.
The quick release props were back-fitted to a lot of original H920 Drones. And a lot of original H920 drones were "upgraded" to H920Plus.
The best advice is to pass it up unless this is from a known, reputable seller that will pay for returns and make a full refund including shipping and taxes if the drone and the controller are not what you think they are.

It's a gamble. Talk to the seller.

Luckily I’m able to see the drone, power it up and thoroughly check it out as it’s in the next town over from me, but even that doesn’t sound like it’s going to be enough. Thank you for your advice and response.

If you can see compatibility with a flight, that would be good.
Other mismatches include the CGo4 camera, which has two unmarked versions and will only work with the intended version of H920. I think most H920 cameras will not work with the H920 plus. I imagine they could easily show up as mismatched in any given kit. Be sure whatever camera(s) comes in the kit will work with the rest of the kit.

The H920 plus drone itself will connect to the GUI for a Typhoon H using a data capable USB cord. The original H920 drone will not.

Thank you for that last bit of advice. I downloaded the H GUI from the Yuneec Skins website. I was able to connect to the H920 in question and confirm that it was indeed a plus. Your time and advice is much appreciated!
