It might be a spare. Do they look the same?

Yes don't see a difference

Mine came with two (2) rings. One was clear glass and the other had nothing in it. Back then (2015) that was pretty much the normal rings you got in the box.

Yes the ring is in a separate bag but also have another glass to fit in the ring

I don't use either of the included rings/filters. I bought a set of the ND filters that I use. If it is a cloudy day then I go naked. Make sure the camera is pointed straight out instead of pointed down when taking off and landing. Minimizes dust on the filters and get a lens pen from Walmart. Dust will get behind the Filters and accumulate on the lens itself.

Thanks wingshooter am in the UK so don't have a Walmart but he'll I do love shopping in them when I get to Canada on holiday
