I'm not sure it would help. Typically things fail along a bell shaped curve against MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures). Testing will just eat up MTBF.
More often than not, things fail under the stress of use, not when testing. You might have an intermittent failure or some sound behavior as an indicator to the lead up to failure but in general, they typically just fail.
I have yet to see testing reveal a failure I wasn't already aware of.
