I bought a Typhoon H and have never flown it. Bought it from a guy that promised it only needed a battery, and I drove out of town to buy it in Muskogee,Ok. I live in KC, so it was a drive, and I paid $300 for it. I would love to have one that flies with no problems. Its a complete drone but when you turn it on it just gives a lot of beeps and won't connect to the GUI I am tired of dealing with it seriously and chalk it up as a lost.I saw today that Yuneec Skins does diagnostics on them so I was going to send it to those guys and let them maybe fix it.

A bunch of rapid beeps is usually a stuck control or joystick on the st16. Go into just the ST and do a hardware check and see if there isn't one of the joysticks not centering. Use the little trim arrows to check that they all are centered. It's pretty good to just spray the pots on the 2 joysticks with some contact/electronic cleaner CRC from the parts store works. there is a couple of access panels like 1/4x1/8 rubber plugs to get a straw into the back. even spraying the front as well is a good thing. there is a ton of articles about this and better detailed instructions. did you ask on here what the gurus thought it could be.

I'm sorry for the late reply I have been moving to a new place so I have been busy. So you think maybe one of my sticks on st16 could be the problem?? If anyone could help me with it I would be very happy.

I don't know if that might be of interest but thats whats on there now. Super easy to go back to just regular feet as well. I would recommend not using the smart modes and obsticle avoidance. leave it in angle and you should never have an issue with crazy behavior. if you do decide to use those features be sure and get a good grasp and the details before you try. Let me know if you want me to package up the bird and I will try and get a couple more pictures for you
Well I got it working and updated to latest firmware. It keeps going into 5 motor mode and one arm and motor or led isn't working? Everything on the GUI is checked except ESC,IPS.It shows on my tx which motor is the culprit and why it goes into 5 motor mode so I need to figure out if it's the ESC.Also when hooked up to the GUI when I enable testing the motors aren't turning on even if I click on each individual motor, but it will start up if not hooked to the GUI.Everything works except for that. Also there is only one white light in front, blue on one side and 2 red in back.and the other white light is on the opposite side of blue? So the green LED is the one not working and it's in the front next to white?I'm confused once again. Thanks you for the suggestion on the cleaning the pots that is what I think got it back up.

The blue light on the front and the white light that is opposite of the blue almost certainly means someone swapped those two motors. I was about to suggest you do the same to see if the problem stays at the same position or if it follows the motor.
Swapping motors is still the best way to tell if it is a motor problem or an esc problem because you don't know which the last guy found.

It is easiest to identify motors by the motor number. The picture below has each motor numbered.
Which motor is not running?
Which front motor has the blue LED.
What is the "opposite" motor that has the white LED?

#6 front isn't working and A#5 is the one that has a white light white. what you said and I thought about maybe someone had swapped something.I didn't think the motor I was thinking the arms but that would have two B motors on the sides. So maybe it could be the motor.I have been trying to figure it out and have gotten it pretty much worked out except for that problem everything is working as it should thankfully.I am so glad that I found this forum and some folks that knows so much about the drone.I just swapped out the motor between 5,6 still no led but I swapped out the LED, so the green LED is #5.#6 which is the other white led is in front now but still not working.

If I understand correctly:
  • You swapped motors between 5 and 6.
  • The motor on arm 5 has always worked, and still works with the motor from Arm #6.
  • The motor on arm #6 has never worked and still does not work with the motor from arm #5.
If this is correct, the main ESC board has a bad ESC and will have to be replaced.

As you have noticed, the motors on "A" and "B" arms are the same. But the propellor mounts are not. Be sure to check that the propellor mount now on motor/arm #6 will accept a "B" propellor, and that the propellor mount now on motor/arm #5 will accept an "A" propellor.
If they don't you can swap the propellor mounts on the top of the motor instead of moving the entire motor again.

.... still no led but I swapped out the LED, so the green LED is #5.#6 which is the other white led is in front now but still not working.
So the LED under the motor on arm #6 is not lit?
Has it ever been lit?
That could be a blown fuse to the ESC. A blown fuse could also explain the non-working motor in the #6 position. Each of the six positions has a 20 amp fuse on the bottom of the ESC board. The fuse is marked on the #4 ESC in the image below, but the fuses for 5 and 6 are just above it on the same side (board is upside down from the normal view, so 4, 5 and 6 are on the left).

Yes sir that was my first thought the K fuse after reading in the WTFD Manual, but after hooking it up to the GUI it has an X by the ESC.No #6 has never turned on even after replacing the arm, motor. So it's either a K fuse or ESC well with a new board both should be fixed?I think the guy crashed it and the motor was under load and couldn't turn and burnt out that fuse.Im just going to buy another good main board. What do you think?I sure do appreciate you guys help fellas. If that fixes it I will be happy.I have flown my brothers TH and have always loved it
