I’m having an issue with the drone losing gps. The drone is adjacent to the controller. But it seems like the gps signal is not consistent.

Also, I’m getting an error regarding the motors. When it fires up it idles fine. But when I increase the throttle the motors start making noise and then it sounds like the motors are going to explode. Also, I’m not getting that “return to center “ on the throttle. When I increase the throttle it sticks and I have to manually try to reduce power.

Here is a pic of the error message

You report so many different problems that it is hard to say what's going on. Not to lose time in endless discussions please send us the flightlog data from the lst flights. Copy it from the ST16 to PC via USB and zip the whole FlightLog directory. Then upload here and we will see...

"But it seems like the gps signal is not consistent."
Drone GPS has nothing to do with proximity to the controller. The key is a clear access to the satellites in orbit. If you are indoors, constant loss of GPS is normal.

"When it fires up it idles fine. But when I increase the throttle the motors start making noise and then it sounds like the motors are going to explode."
That is a near perfect description of completely normal TH behavior when being revved up without props mounted.
You will probably also get a "5 rotor" error if you try it much.

"I’m not getting that “return to center “ on the throttle."
That one is real. You need to clean the pots on the stick. Lots of times you can clear the issue with a "vigorous stirring" of the stick for about 20 seconds. If that doesn't work, you may need to get deeper into stick maintenance. If "stirring" and "maintenance" have done all they can do, you may need to recalibrate the sticks. Don't recalibrate if the sticks are dirty. It leads to problems later.
