Mantis G Firmware

Mantis q firmware update I can't find one available and the drone is erratic I feel like flying it right up your
For reasons unknown to end users like ourselves (we are NOT Yuneec employees) the update server for firmware has been offline since the end of September. Firmware updates are only performed via the server.

Flying it up my …, will only result in it smelling like 💩and flying even more like 💩

I would suggest you contact one of the vendors that do repairs @Yuneec Skins or @joe@vertigodrones

Hi I recently bought the Mantis G drone (Germany).

I already had some problem in the beginning to find the proper piloted app as it does not seem to be available in the google play store and the one on the official website is just v 2.0.2 which is, as far as I read outdated?

So, my next question would be, the firmware of my Drone and controller is both 1.0.0.1 and when I check for updates it says that this is the newest version. Is this true? If not, how do I get the newest firmware’s?

thanks

Thank you for offering, but please note this is an old thread. The OP has not visited the forum since November of 2022 and is not likely to respond.
However, if you can post information that can help others in the future, that would be great
Do we have any alternative to yuneec pilot app for Android 15?

Yuneec Pilot app is the only app designed for the Mantis series drones.

Are you experiencing the issue where you can fly, but do not get the video feed?

Since it is abandoned, is there source code available for us to update or, did anyone try PX4 does it work?
Peruse GitHub for Mantis G and PX4 by Advanced Technology Labs. There was some experimentation by them a few years ago, but I no longer have a link to it.

The iOS version of the app was designed for iOS 10 and works fine even on iOS 18. The Android version was designed for v5.0 and worked fine until v8.0. Part of the issue on Android seems to stem from the port not recognizing that it is being used for data as opposed to charging. I heard on a different forum that a data only cable (power wire not used) may force port to be in data mode.

I do not thing the issue stems from the controller. I might be wrong but since i do not have live feed using the drone without controller at all I believe it is an issue of android libraries.
Did anyone try to build and test GitHub - mavlink/qgroundcontrol: Cross-platform ground control station for drones (Android, iOS, Mac OS, Linux, Windows) to fly mantis?

If this worked i will try to make it work in Android 15.
