Motors didn't idle down

Went flying today and 1st couple of flights no problems. Then i was landing and went to idle down the motors before hitting the red button and the motors would not idle down and if i released the throttle it would act like it wanted to take off. I had to get back into the air and hand catch it and hold the red button and it took a long time for the moros to stop. I eneded up down a compass and accelerometer calibration and it landed fine after that. This has never happened before. Anyone else have this problem?

Couple times, but only on uneven ground. I just hold the stick down and hit the kill switch.

Ah.
I have seen it take a few extra seconds to shut down if it's not in idle, but no more than that. I must admit that when I wasn't expecting it those few extra seconds seemed mighty long.
