Funny how that works. The same applies in full scale. The engine always sounds like it runs rougher over mountains at night or over large bodies of water[emoji6]
Do be aware of waterfalls. Air turbulence will stress the position hold responses.
Also barometric pressure gradients near waterfalls will cause the H to gain & loose altitude by surprise.
And, of course water spray can ruin you day.
Along those same lines, hot air thermals over a black roof building can fake the barometer into sensing it's rising when it's not.
So a unexpected descent can happen.
