Never required one. Using the standard backpack I've used the cloth bags since always.

They fit pretty nicely, I carry 8 (2 spares just in case)

If you carry the charger you can fit them just like @BobW55 showed on the middle/right space.

You must have a early backpack as my foam is totally different I did put a picture of it up in this thread and why do you put ur ST16 upside down

Regarding the ST16 orientation, on this foam insert this is the way it must be fit.
