So yesterday I took my typhoon H pro out to practice flight maneuvers. After 5 attempts to calibrate the compass I finally got it. I flew on the first battery for about 15 minutes then landed to install the sd card in the camera that I had forgotten. Battery swap then launched again after about 5 minutes, I got an alert that it had initiated 5 motor mode. It was a dipsy doosie of a time getting back into a clear area to land and even landing was a pain. Shut down waited a couple minutes and restarted and flew again close to see better what was happening. 5 minutes again, 5 motor mode again. Landed better. It was 100°+ when I was flying. Do these things have a history off shutting down in high ambient temperatures? Also had one gosh darn lollipop of a time removing one of the props. Checked different props on the motor, on and off easily. Checked first prop on different motors. No problem. Checked original prop on original motor, stuck again.

This is only the third time I’ve ever flown it and definitely longest so far. I thought about reaching out to Yuneec skins, but I’ve tried contacting them both by phone and email a half dozen times with no success.
Anyway, any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Free area, no obstacles. GPS is good. In both cases it is motor 1. Motor 1 is front, left.
I think it is a HW fault. My first attempt would be to check the motors in GUI. Try to slow down the motor by hand and check how it feels and if motor 1 is different compared to others. One can feel if one of the 3coils is bad.
Also check the motor if no debris are in it. Sometimes tiny metal parts are on the strong magnets.
And at last check all wire connection and plug out and in all.

Edited.

How do I get into the GUI? Can I run it on a Mac? Where are the connections for the motors? Are there any videos for doing this stuff?

I do not think it runs on a Mac, but others can correct me if wrong.

Download the install file here if needed:

The Typhoon H GUI is Windows only. It can be run on a Mac if you can dual boot to Windows.

To access the motor wiring all you have to do is remove the 10 small screws (1.5mm Allen head) that hold the upper shell in place. The wires have pin and socket connectors that are difficult to separate. Two pair of needle nose pliers help in pulling them apart.

If you use the search tool you are going to find the answer to every question you posted. It's best to do all of that first before even making a post as 99% of the time, your answer will be there. Have you taken the time to read the user manual for the H, explore the site and ever used the search tool?
