Just 100' over my takeoff spot about 8600 elevation. Mountain dropped off about 300' from control point. Clear sight to the drone.

I have found it to be very directional if that is the right way to explain. I was going over a grass field, like about 5ft grass and as it got out I lost signal then had to get higher in the air......I was out about 1100 ft.
