Request: Typhoon H Plus Flight Controller Firmware v1.4.x (Pre-RealSense Check)

Hi all,
I recently purchased a used Typhoon H Plus that was modified by the previous owner. The Intel RealSense and Sonar modules were removed (battery mod for longer flight time). The drone flies fine in Angle Mode, but I'm locked out of smart flight modes like Orbit, CCC, and Watch Me. The current firmware (V1.5.0) disables these modes when it doesn’t detect the sensors.


I’m looking for the original Flight Controller Firmware V1.4.6 (or any V1.4.x version) that didn’t have these hardware dependency checks, to re-enable those flight modes. The official Yuneec site no longer hosts these files, and my search engine results are flooded with dead links or update files.


If anyone has the original .bin firmware file archived, I’d greatly appreciate if you could upload it via Dropbox, Mega, or PM me a link.

I can understand removing the RealSense module and the CCC, Orbit, WatchMe, FollowMe, still work with newer firmware. What was the reason for removing the front sonar sensors?

Are you sure you have the typhoon H Plus with the C23 camera and ST16S controller? The firmware versions you are listing do not line up with H+ or Typhoon H (with CGO3+ camera) that I am aware of.

Photos of the aircraft and the firmware versions screen on the ST16(S) controller could help us help you.

Thanks for the reply. As I mentioned in the original post the previous owner modded this vehicle. I can't really answer to why other than he mentioned it was to make space and save on power. He removed the under motor LED's as well. Please view the requested photos. Last photo is of the firmware taken today; 08/05/25.

Thanks for sharing! Would you happen to have a copy of that FC Firmware 1.1.03 (Build 829) file archived that you could share? I’m stuck on V1.5.0 and it’s locking out my smart flight modes (CCC, Orbit, etc.) because of missing sonar sensors from a mod. Downgrading to an older FC firmware version like yours might be the fix I need. Much appreciated if you can help!

I think that what I have as build 829 is the same as you have because of the date. The JSON file says:

The good news is that I have some older FW files from 2018-05-07 on.
The files are large but I can extract the flight controller FW "autopilot.yuneec". The problem is that those files have always the same file name and there is not visible what the version really is.

When I look inside the binary files with Hexeditor I see some version information like v1.5.0-0.0.0-31-gceb4dae or v1.3.0-0.0.0-25-g001ea91 but no v1.4....

Thanks for digging into this! The v1.3.0 file (from Build 750 or earlier) sounds like it could be exactly what I need. Would you be willing to share a copy of that older autopilot.yuneec file? Even if there’s some functionality loss, I’m mainly trying to get CCC, Orbit, and Watch Me back on this drone without the sonar hardware. I really appreciate your help!

Thank you so much for providing this! I really appreciate the time and effort it must’ve taken to preserve, organize, and share these firmware files — especially with the flasher included. That kind of archival work is invaluable for keeping older drones like the H Plus alive, especially when they’ve been modified like mine.


It’s honestly incredible to still find this level of support and generosity from the community. You’ve helped breathe new life into a great piece of hardware that would otherwise be stuck in limbo because of sensor dependencies and outdated software support.


Also, greetings from Montana — a bit different from Bavaria, I imagine! I’d trade a few dry prairie summers for some alpine forests and beer gardens in a heartbeat.
