I can't say as I would recommend it. There are several things to take into account with no props on. The props can help keep the motors cool, and with no props on the motors may spin at an excessively high rpm and cause them to fail. So in the end, it is ultimately up to you, but I would ask this.......Why is it that you want to run it with them off?

I have , but only for a few seconds at idle to prove a controller bind was successful [emoji106]

I run-in new motors with no props at 1/4, 1/2 and full power for several minutes with no ill effects or overheating.

Not sure why you would want to do that. You can download the GUI from Yuneec and test the motors while connected to your PC (both Windows and iMac versions are available).
