Sanford Florida

I'm over here in Ocoee, and there is another gentleman in Oviedo. If you need assistance in person with your H 480, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Thanks, I’m working on removing the NFZ. In class C airspace

Welcome!
There are direct flights from Rockford IL (where I'm from) to Sanford, so I may be asking for good places to fly in your home town some day!

Just curious, why remove it?
Why..? Typhoon will not operate in Class. C Airspace with NFZ installed. I can travel several miles to uncontrolled airspace an it’s fine. I fly my Holystone 700d with authorization up ti 200 ft regularly here. I have a large open field behind my house, great for flying. My first Typhoon I purchased in 2019, I was able to get the no-fly zone removal from Yuneec. My second one I purchased in 2020 they would not issue the removal.

Great. I fly my holystone 700 D with authorization right here in class C Airspace, where I live 2 miles from the Sanford international airport.
i’m presently working on removing the NFZ from my typhoon H so I can operate it from my backyard also.

Are you part 107?
Yuneec issued the NFZ removal in 2019 on my first H. I bought a 2nd, refurbished H in 2020. I could not fly from my home area without NFZ removal. Will not operate unless you reposition outside of Class C. I’m 2 miles from SFB with 200ft limit. The airport is restricted unless you have Part 107 and authorized for a mission.

I have my 107 but currently lapsed, However several years ago I flew two authorized missions, Sanford Int (Boombah Sports Complex) and Daytona Int, (Walgreens near the end of RW34).

?? I just took the Trust test. I thought about testing for Part 107.
I am an old commercial pilot and like to be legal. I was once on the bad side of the FAA in the 80s when flying part 135. Not fun… I’m also Retired airport operations Sanford airport authority Supervisor from SFB.
After two tours in Iraq and combat injuries I am unable to fly. Took up flying RC airplanes in 2008 at the Sanford Aero club. One day I just stop flying RC ?airplanes. My wife bought me a holystone 700 D for Christmas 2019 and then I bought the typhoon H. Had no problem getting the no-fly zone removal. However I crashed and destroyed the typhoon. Bought a refurbished Typhoon with Realsense in 2020.
I also have a YouTube channel with drone videos and various other videos such as my jeep, my Harley, my RV and my Beagles ? plus more
