St16 screen going blank

Flying the H on Monday had 86% on controller battery landed to replace the H battery took off flying again about 5-10 mins noticed the st battery had fallen to 65% next thing screen went blank no response on screen but all controls responding as normal so landed replaced the st battery and everything booted up fine and carried on flying ,does the controller automatically switch screen off to save power?? Or am I missing something ..

At 65% power it shouldn't turn off. I've had it as low as 43% no issues.
Try taking the battery out of the ST for a few minutes, reinsert. Maybe there's a glitch?
Charge it back up to 100% as I know you're doing, see if screen lights back up?

Another thought when I put the battery that was in the controller when the screen went blank back into the st and plugged it in to charge nothing happened normally you get the beep and it powers to the yuneec logo there was nothing so charged spare and that was fine then swapped batteries and the other one then started to charge so I think there might be something,, I've got latest firmware is there a way to rest controller back to factory settings??
