Also is this a brand new purchase? Recently purchased hardware is more likely to be outright replaced... which could mean a 2-3 week turnaround. If they repair, it can be much longer... as much as 3 months.
Here is the unfortunate truth... when you are sent an RMA for warranty service, you pay nothing
for the service. This puts you in the position of having no leverage or say, in terms of where the
item is sent, or the timeframe of that service. If you do not want to wait it out, you can elect to have that repair performed at your cost. Like all in life... he who foots the bill, makes the rules.
