Hi,

I haven't used my H for a couple of months, after it was sent in to Yuneec for repairs (gimbal had broken off). I didn't test it at the time as I was in the midst of moving and Yuneec did a test flight. I now want to take it out for a spin and on startup there's a blinkind red light, accompanied by the sound of 3 tones (high mid low). When I look at the LED sheet, this would mean "Initialization failed" but Google won't tell me anything on what this actually means. Does anyone know?

I tried going into binding mode by tilting, but that doesn't do anything. The gimbal stabilizes, but I am not connected to either camera or drone on the ST16.

Thanks,
Greetings,

Bruno

Sure, this was just at my desk. I'll download and check it out. What should I look at?

It is connected through USB but all the values are 0. Also, the sensor and motor speed controller status variables just have a turnin (loading) symbol.

NB...Something like happened to me yesterday....
I haven't flown in a few weeks and decided to drain the batteries for storage because I'll be busy til after the new year.
Put in the first battery and flew for about 5-6 minutes and landed.
Shut every thing down and inserted the second battery and did the same.
Its cold here in the Northeast about 27 F
Put in the third battery and got a flashing red light and the beeping then solid red.
Shut everything down and removed and reinserted the battery and everything look OK.
Took off and hovered for a couple of minutes then
Flew for about 6-7 minutes.
Landed and put in the forth battery and flew that for about 8 minutes with no problems and normal lights.
I am just assuming that I did not lock in the battery.
Maybe I'll check the telly data later is see if that shows anything

What do you mean lock the battery? Just tried re-inserting but this didn't do anything.

Can you start each motor individually using the GUI with the USB cord...by using the cord with the GUI, nothing shows up in red?

If you're talking about the "all turn" button (can't find an individual one), then no, they're not turning.

MG You test the individual motors by placing your cursor on any motor and clicking on it (In the GUI Program)
It will spin and that motor will show as green for less than a second

Nope, that doesn't work.. I feel like something might be wrong with my serial ports also. It defaults to COM3, but if I use the "test" button, it says failed. It says "success" on COM1, but when I try to switch to COM1 the GUI crashes. Will try on a different computer tomorrow.

MB...
two things of note.
1 make sure you use the cable supplied by Yuneec....
My cable from my Phantom does not work with the Yuneec,,,if I wiggle the DJI cable it disconnects and re connects as I wiggle it
2 If I leave the TH connected to the GUI for a long time, it will go into limbo and I have the shut the H down and then repower it up to get it to show the sensors and controls.

It’s possible that your firmware is scrambled. Some call it bricked out. There are versions of recovery firmware Yuneec can send you that you load via the GUI. My original H did this during the OTA firmware update process last year when the servers quit during transfer. It was not recognized by the GUI and was just blinking and beeping. I had to get a call back from Yuneec and they sent me the file and instructions on how to load into the H. That got back flight control and binding and then I redid latest firmware via SD card and will not use OTA updates. There was a place on this forum at that time where you could find these files also that users posted. It’s sounding like you are “bricked out” so search here with that keyword to find that info.
