Got an email this morning from Ebay for a Typhoon H Pro for $99. I can’t find anything wrong with the listing. What do you think.

Ebay is not allowing direct links from this board, and is redirecting... put the URL into an HTML code box. (the insert menu above).

To the right of the smiley icons on the post navigation bar... looks like 3 dots with a dropdown arrow choose Insert Code... in that dialog box that comes up, choose "HTML" as the language. :)

I did what your instructions said but not sure the link is inserted correctly. Let me know and thanks for explaining.

That is correct in showing the HTML code, but unfortunately that is just the redirection from eBay... use the same setup to insert the original ebay URL sent to your email... that should work. Then people can just cut-n-paste into a new browser tab.

And no stupidity on your part at all... unless you've used it before, you have no way of knowing it's even there on the menu bar...:)

Very true. Thank you for explaining all the same. In other forums, the nurturing aspects in communications are just not there.

Updated the link

Basically the ad states it’s a brand new THP with RS for $99 from a seller with 100% feedback, and the link was sent to me from Ebay.

I bought one knowing full well it could be bust, but figured for that price and Ebays money back guarantee, why not.

Hmmm... thats still the redirection link from eBay... a valid eBay link will be something like this

HTML:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Yuneec-Typhoon-H-Hexacopter-Drone-with-4K-360-degree-camera/183421364281

I'd double down on the protection by paying with PayPal... then you have both eBay and PayPal guarantees.

Done!!!!

Makes me wonder if some of those H’s stolen out of a warehouse almost two years ago are now showing up, of if the inventory from the bankrupt east coast wholesaler is being liquidated.

No, your right it does work... usually anytime I've seen an URL showing "rover.ebay.com", it ends up as a redirect to their main page.

I updated the link direct from Ebay's website. Lets see if that changes anything. This new link also seems to work, at least for me anyway.

If nothing else the seller is ridiculously lazy in the listing, giving little valid information... NO specs tab filled out and a boilerplate description that was once 5 or 6 readable paragraphs condensed into a blob of continuous text.

Maybe just me, but since I've done some eBay selling, not taking time to give the details that are available in a eBay listing, is a red flag. Why omit pertinent details if there is no issue? He's relying on that price to blind everyone, which in and of itself is also a red flag.
Proceed with caution, Will Robinson.

This is the item number that you can copy and paste to eBay search bar
253856011515 for 99.00 and then you posted this for 199.00 183421364281, both sellers have low rating numbers and most of those are buying not selling, I would be very careful, when its too good to be true it usually is trouble, plus one stated used and the other new

The price alone is a big red flag, new or used. I had to do it though, knowing I'd get my $99 back. Which I see as the most likely thing to happen. PT Barnum said it best, and that's why scams work. If it not for the guarantee from Ebay band PayPal, i wouldn't have given it a second thought.

18342136428, this number doesn't work for me. Using the advanced search function does not produce a result when I searched. The first number does however. Yes, this is a to good to be true offer, but I just had to do it  curious minds want to know...
