Hi Everyone. I need help.I bought this Drone used and first big drone or real drone. The Guy i bought it from had it bricked.I used gui to put it to 1.35 from a post I found hear.I manage to find firmware newest Avalible hear as well.Problem is I'm abule to update the St16 Fine and Rebind fine.Exsept says Cam software to old update... every Video ive watch says use cog3 plus but mine will only work with cog3.I have no idea how to do that.Anyhow I put the SD card in Camera H and do exactly how 10 different video's show but when I go to updates says may take long..I press ok Nothing happens.Nothing just back at update screen.ive tried over and over and it just won't update H.Not sure if there's a way with Gui but I've spent hours and Hours trying to get good Firmware.Any help finding why I cannot update the H Firmware. Thanks So Much this Forums has been alot help. Its neer inposible to even find Firmware.Everything I've found was hear thanks..

What you describe sounds like you have a CGO3 instead of a CGO3+. The CGO3 can be used but only as CGO3 not with PRO settings. There is no way to overcome this HW related problem with FW update. The CGO3+ can turn around 360°, the CGO3 not. The CGO3 has 3 contacts on top of the mount, the CGO3+ has six.

.. Rebind fine.Exsept says Cam software to old update...
As mentioned by @h-elsner, please confirm which you have:

Also as mentioned by @h-elsner, if you have a CGo3 you may only need to select the correct camera in the ST16. Try that first and then see if you still need a firmware update.
Select CGo3.jpg

Note: With CGO3 (not +) the complete FW update by ST16 is not possible because the serial connection between drone and camera is not present. Also the FW versions of the drone are not shown in the ST16 menu due to same reason.
You must update the separate drone components manually (flight controller, gimbal (if needed - normally not), camera and if available RealSense (also normally not needed).

First of all you Guys are Amazing Thank you.The Cam is CG03 from looking at pics.I Did set the ST16 Cam to the CG03 because it's only way the Cam would Conect. And Did Try many times to Update But As I said Nothing Happend.zthe Update I got was from WTFDproject Yuneec Downloads Dropbox.Only Update I could find for the Typhoon H.As There is 404 error on websites.I used youtube videos and step by step. The St16 updated just fine.I used same card formatted it put in the Cam But every time I Tap Update Nothing happens at all shows just same screen.I tried shutting them down over and over same thing. THE St16 was updated to ST16_V3.130.yuneec And the H i been trying to update is TyphoonH_Ver3.04_A.bin.I Tried Again tonight with no luck.I know it seeing the SD card because when I take it out or leave card empty it says no update on card.I Check the Cam it's working good.zthe Gimbal seems to work good.It does have a bad motor I was told by guy I got it from.Says it told him to land as one is bad.But then he bricked it and gave up.I definitely fix the brick it's working Gui working lights up but I used Gui and back dated as I read on a post hear to 1.35 and it fix that problem.Just can't update H.Any and all help is so very Appreciated. You have a CGO3 that belongs to Yuneec Q500, not to Typhoon H. But it works with Typhoon H with some limitations. And you will never see the FW from drone on ST16, forget also this.

The "TyphoonH_Ver3.04_A.bin" contains all FW parts for flight controller, CGO3+ camera, gimbal and RealSense and is not usable for your setup. You cannot use gimbal and camera part, only the flight controller part. That's why - forget it.

As said above, the normal update procedure will not work with the CGO3. Also the camera FW from Typhoon H will not work with CGO3 because it is for the CGO3+. You will find the camera FW in Q500 download area. However, V2.4 is good - I would let it as it is. Never change a running system.

Remains the flight controller.
The only way to see what FW the flight controller has and to update the drone (flight contoller) FW is the GUI for Typhoon H. The latest Flight controller FW is here:

To update flight controller FW open Typhoon H GUI and check which FW you have. V1.35 is the latest.
If you need to update remember the used COM port number.
Remove the battery from the done. Remove the USB cable. Go to menu and select Firmware update.
Upd_01.png
Select the FC FW file "TyphoonH_FC_V1.35_3_3_2017.yuneec" and the COM port from the flight controller.
Upd_02.png
Click on update and plug in the USB cable. The flight controller will be powered by USB and boot up. During boot process (and only there) it will check if FW update is needed. It takes a while until the update process started, be patient.

Wait until the flash was done. Remove USB able, Put the flight battery in and restart the drone. It should now have the new FW.

Thank you Guys so much.So it sounds as it's not going to really work right.Someone Changed the Cam in it.Would it be a good Idea just to Buy A Cam.I found some on Ebay?

Yeah. Regardless of the drone firmware update issue, the CGo3 you have has only limited functionality on the ST16. (The same camera has lots more options available on a Q500, but that is a whole other story.) You will get more out of a CGo3+.

Were you able to connect to the GUI at all? It would be interesting to know your current firmware version.

With your Guys help I got her flying. But 2nt time out I had a crash bang...hope I'll be abule to fix.

Yeah, it can be fixed. But not if you try to power it up before making very sure both ends of all three the wires are either connected to the original point, or at least to an alternate point if the pads were ripped off at the original.
Do you need any advice for any of it?

Yes please. The video i watch said not to worry about those wires that I can get a wire that plugs in to the gimbal and drone.I took a look on ebay but the wire don't look like it will plug in.Im not sure.Any advise would be Great thanks.

The pigtail wire you read about only works when the CGO3 is mounted to a Q500 or the SteadyGrip. The Typhoon H does not have the connector to support using the pigtail.

You will have to repair the three wire connections to the CGO3 board.

I’ll edit this post in just a minute when I get to my computer.

EDIT:
Download the attached PDF that is the Table of Contents for the Way to Fix Drones Project in its new home in my OneDrive account. In the section for the CGO3 you will need to refer to "CGO3 Gimbal Board Connectors and CGO3 Hot Shoe Contacts. From those you can determine where to reattach the 3 black wires.

If you encounter issues with the links giving you an error saying document no found try using the reload button of your browser and it should appear.

Both the contact board in the top mount and the normal contact points on the gimbal board are marked to help get the each wire connected to the right place. The document Doom mentioned provides where to connect each if all the solder pads are good, and also tells which to connect to if you need to get creative using the pigtail wire.

The normal advice would be to remove the remains of the wires and use the pigtail, but as @DoomMeister says, that won't work for a Typhoon H. However, you can still use the "CGo3 Removing the three black wires" document on Doom's Microsoft OneDrive as a general guide for how to remove the covers and get an idea of where things go.
