My typhoon h plus real sense when on will stop 300 ft up in the sky no obstacles anywhere . Does anyone know if realsense can be calibrated or how to fix this ? Can the sun cause this ?

Is your real sense even activated? Try turning off. (Assuming it can be.)

Problem sounds more like an altitude limit. Have you checked all settings to ensure there has not been an inadvertent altitude ceiling configured for 300 feet?

Good luck,

Jeff

Sunlight can affect RealSense. So can anything in air like dust, smoke, fog.
The sensor can also get dirty and may need cleaned.
My preferred solution is exactly what @davemh just mentioned.

thanks I really don’t need to use it much anyway but thanks . It was very sunny that day .

Some had defective RS units. If it is new and under warranty it should be eligible for replacement.

It’s been noted, though I can’t confirm, that the real sense has ghosts or artifacts left behind by previous areas. The memory is supposed to wipe clean after so many hours/times using it (it’ll remember places it flew before but I’m not sure how large the memory is on it). Sometimes it’ll think it’s flying in an old area it’s flew before and the results are exactly what you’re experiencing.

So:

Sunlight
Dust on lens (q-tip will clean it fine)
Old artifacts left behind in its memory

Can anyone confirm the artifacts theory?
