Typhoon H will not bind to st16 controller, I followed you tube website to the T. It's hard to get the drone into binding mode.

You need to run the Typhoon H Binding Verification.

The verification is not just "binding instructions". It is a verification of the MANY hidden clues in the binding process. The purpose is to identify abnormal conditions that are preventing a successful bind and to identify the exact point the binding process is failing. That information can assist in determining the best course to remedy the problem.
You will need to perform every step up to the point the verification does not match what you see. Do not skip any steps. Every step must be performed. Even the steps you have no doubt are already in the correct condition. After some preparation steps, the verification falls into a routine of directing an action, then verifying the correct response to the action. When you reach a verification step that does not match what you see, or if you are unsure if it matches, STOP. Report the step number back to the forum, and what you actually saw at that step. We can then go from there.

Thanks for the binding guide. I've gone through the steps of the initial typhoon binding and finally have a purple light! I have stopped there without finishing the camera installation and binding as i'm getting a constant beeping tone like an alarm. This drone is new to me, but not factory new. I've flashed it to 1.28 using the gui and then updated it to the latest stable build. Any suggestions on the constant beeping?

The beeping is likely an error code.
It is often difficult to tell if the beeping is coming from the drone or from the camera. Does the code sound when the camera is NOT mounted?
Either way please describe the pattern of the beeps or post a recording/video. If you make a video or audio recording you will probably have to post the video/recording somewhere else, such as a Dropbox or Youtube, and then post a link to it here.

Beeping is is often caused by an not centered right stick at the RC. Please check the HW monitor on ST16.
Possibly you need a stick calibration.

Thanks for the quick reply, especially during the holidays! It's coming from the drone, even with the camera not mounted. I've posted two short videos - one with and one without the camera mounted at the following link:

That sound is coming from the drone, but it is not caused by the drone. It is the sound mentioned by @h-elsner above. The drone is telling you the right controller stick pots need cleaning and/or calibration.
Check the hardware monitor to see if the error is coming from the stick itself. If so, you will need to get rid of the pot oxidation. You can rapidly "stir" the stick and sometimes it clears the problem that easily, Most times you will need to use plastic safe contact cleaner as well as stir the pots.

It is best to clean the sticks prior to stick calibration to avoid possible issues later if the corrosion clears itself.

Thank you! That fixed the issue! I'm getting closer to getting it ready to fly. I've got the camera and drone successfully paired. I took it outside and it spent at least 20 minutes "acquiring" gps. I saw 14-18 satellites (according to the ST16), but it never did actually acquire. So, we save that for another day and lots of patience.

Let us know when you want to work with the GPS acquisition. @h_elsner spent a lot of time dealing with that issue and can likely save you a lot of time and effort. A good start would be reading his thread and the associated document:
