Okay so if I connect the ST16 to my computer how can I upgrade the firmware from the computer? I connect the st 16 open the gui and then upgrade?

My personal opinion is this. You're a new member, with a new H, and you have no previous update experience.
I suggest that for now, you follow the Update instruction in the Ver 1.1 manual (it's in the Sticky thread in the H Help section).
Basically, you download the 2 files from Yuneec's site onto your computer, then copy both files to the Micro-card you received with your Typhoon H.
Put the card (carefully) into the ST16 first, follow the instructions (it's easy).
After the ST16 update is finished, put the same card into the Typhoon H camera and again follow instructions. Now follow instructions to rebind, and then re-calibrate.
This way you do not need the GUI or anything else. Read the Manual...Go slow, be careful.

Thanks Rayray but if you wanted to update the firmware by the computer what steps would you follow?
