I saw it the other day when I was flying but it only showed up for a few seconds. It looks like a semi circle with vertical lines and and it has numbers along the top of the circle.
What is that scale that shows up in the middle of the St16 screen?

It is the range readout for the obstacle avoidance and is displayed whether OA is on or off. See page 23 of the pdf file attached to this thread Documentation Library -Typhoon H.
