I have got a Samsung galaxy tab A and have downloaded the cgo3 on it. I have changed the Wi-Fi over to the drones Wi-Fi and started the app, a small box appeared at the bottom showing ...@_@... has any body a clue what is wrong and can help me. Many thanks
Dave

You may want to try either a different device, or an older version of the app's APK file. When I used this setup on a Teclast P80 tablet, I needed to install the 0057 version, to get the app to work. The older versions are at the bottom of the following site:

Question
Are u talking about a separate tablet and not the st16 ? Can u use another tablet with the st16 at the same time ?

The ST-16 is a self-contained controller... no external phone or tablet is needed to operate the Typhoon H, unlike many DJI models. The CGO3 app is intended for using the CGO3 camera on the SteadyGrip handheld mount, rather than the aircraft.

It can be used as a means of having a seccond viewing device, but the signal to the app will be lost relatively quickly as the app was designed for a hand grip in close proximity to the camera. In this scenario, a tablet with a HDMI input would be preferable.

Regarding the use of Steadygrip, the least bad image control I could use is the Teclast P80 but it remains a rather unpleasant latency ... Is there a smartphone or a tablet that could work without latency?

I have tried the CGO app on a Lenovo P11 second generation running Android 14. The newest version didn't work for me but at least the version V0.1.0.0049 seems to work OK with a Typhoon Q500 with a CGO2+ camera. I will try to get the program to work with a Q500 4k and Typhoon H480 and report the result here. There was a number of warnings regarding the CGO program being written for an old version of Android ... disregard them and simply tell the pad to install anyway. Good quality extra video feed on a big screen!

In the middle of the night I had the opportunity to test three different drones/cameras against the CGO app under Android 14 on a Lenovo P11 Second Gen. The results are:

Typhoon H480 with a CGO3+ camera:
V0.1.0.0062 most recent Network Error , got connection once ... crash after ca. 5s.
0057 Seems to work OK
0056 Seems to work OK
0049 Seems to work OK, installation requires forced installation using Pad PIN code.

Typhoon Q500 4k CGO3 camera:
0062 Connects but crash after ca. 5s
0057 Seems to work
0056 Network error
0049 Network error, installation requires forced installation using Pad PIN code.

Typhoon Q500 CGO2+ camera:
0062 Connects but crash after ca. 5s.
0057 Seems to work
0056 Seems to work
0049 Seems to work, installation requires forced installation using Pad PIN code.

Conclusion:
For my specific combination it looks like the version V0.1.0.0057 is the best option because it supports all three cameras/drones.

My guess is that for some other pad and other Android version the result may be different. I would probably download all available versions and start from the newest version stepping backwards install/uninstall/install ... until I would find a working version. I suppose that slightly older Android versions may work better because the CGO app is already fairly old. The general conclusion is that it is worth experimenting and also disregarding warnings regarding security flaws because the camera WiFi hot spot isn't connected to the internet. Finding a working version is probably also easier if only one camera is used.

Notice that some WiFi configuration may be necessary. Manually close the default WiFi on the Pad. Connect to WiFi and you may need to tell the system that it is OK that Internet is missing.
