FAA Updates Registration Requirements Following Court of Appeals Decision

I'm leaving my number on the bird. I think it adds a certain degree of credibility to those clueless about the legalities of flying drones.

Even if you get your money back your info is still in the system. The government never dumps info. If you do get your money back you'll just be sending it back to them in a few months when registration gets legislated in. There's is no doubt in my mind that Congress will create and pass a law requiring drone registration. All the aerospace companies that produce UAV's want it, and for all intents and purposes the are part of the big money that owns the government, the FAA, and certainly the entire Drone Advisory Council.
